I had a low carb quiche for breakfast, then a piece of cake right after?... Well I have no regret they are both delicious.
Low carb quiche
Ingredients
About 1 tablespoon Oil
A bunch Asparagus
10 Eggs
A handful Chives
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
1/4 Turmeric
About 15 shavings Nutmeg (or 1/4 teaspoon of dry)
1/2 pinch Cayenne pepper
Black pepper to taste.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Rinse the asparagus and snap off the hard ends. Arrange in one layer on a cooking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Spray with oil and season with salt and pepper.
Roast about 10 minutes or until desired donness. Let them cool.
Generously oil a pie pan. Arrange the asparagus in one layer.
Beat the eggs with the spices and pour over the asparagus. Press down the tips so they don't burn.
Bake 17 minutes or until the center is cooked.
If I want Scott eat some I have to make it with string beans but nowadays the asparagus are so good I couldn't help to cook à la Claudie this time. Make it à la you and bon appétit!
